Oklahoma doesn't publish its knowledge-test length and pass score on an official page we could confirm, so we don't state numbers here. The questions in this quiz are written in the style of Oklahoma's knowledge test, and Oklahoma's official driver handbook (linked below) is the source to study from.
Pick an answer on each question to see whether you got it right, with an explanation.
This is a short sample — DriveDrill has 200+ Oklahoma questions
and full-length mock exams in the app.
Q1. In Oklahoma, a learner permit must be held for at least how long before the road test?
A 6 months
B 3 months
C 9 months
D 30 days
The holding period exists so new drivers practise across seasons and conditions rather than cramming a licence in a weekend.
Q2. The road is most slippery:
A Only when it is freezing
B After several hours of heavy rain
C The day after rain
D During the first rain after a dry spell
Oil and rubber build up on dry pavement and float to the surface when rain starts. Slow down and double your following distance.
Q3. You must:
A Carry a photocopy of your license
B Show your license only after a crash
C Keep your license at home for safekeeping
D Carry your driver license whenever you drive and show it when asked
Driving without carrying the license is a separate violation in most states, even if you are licensed.
Q4. A left turn on red from a one-way street onto another one-way street is:
A Allowed without stopping
B Never allowed
C Allowed only for buses and taxis
D Allowed in many states after stopping, unless a sign prohibits it
Most states permit this turn after a complete stop and yielding, but it is banned in some cities, so obey any posted sign.
Q5. In Oklahoma, points already on your driving record are reduced all the way to zero if you have:
A No traffic violation convictions for five consecutive years
B Paid a reinstatement fee within six months
C No traffic violation convictions for three consecutive years
D No traffic violation convictions for one consecutive year
Oklahoma's point system gradually forgives points for clean driving, and a full reset to zero happens after three consecutive years without a pointable conviction.
Q6. A funeral procession with its lights on is passing through an intersection. You should:
A Join the procession to get through faster
B Let the procession pass without cutting into it
C Sound your horn to clear the way
D Drive between vehicles if there is a gap
Do not cut into or interrupt a procession, even if you have a green light, unless directed by an officer.
Q7. You are involved in a crash. You are required to:
A Move the vehicles and go if nobody is hurt
B Wait for the other driver to call the police and then leave
C Leave if the damage looks minor
D Stop, exchange information, and give reasonable help to anyone injured
Stopping, identifying yourself and rendering aid are legal duties everywhere. Leaving the scene turns a minor crash into a criminal charge.
Q8. A strong crosswind is pushing your vehicle. You should:
A Slow down and keep a firm grip with both hands
B Steer with one hand and relax
C Drive closer to large trucks for shelter
D Speed up to stabilise the car
Wind gusts are strongest in open country and beside large vehicles. Slow down, hold the wheel firmly, and expect a push when a truck passes.
Q9. According to the Oklahoma Driver Manual, most vehicles will become buoyant and float away in:
A 2 feet (24 inches) of water or less
B 4 feet of moving water only
C 1 foot of standing water, but only on a hill
D 6 feet of water or more
The manual warns that it takes surprisingly little water to float a car, which is why you should never try to drive across a flooded road.
Q10. In Oklahoma, the maximum posted speed limit on urban interstate highways is:
A 65 mph
B 75 mph
C 70 mph
D 60 mph
Urban interstates are held to a lower maximum than open rural highway, because of interchange spacing and traffic volume.
