I paid, but my purchase is not unlocked

Open Settings › Restore Purchases in the app. Purchases are tied to the Apple Account that bought them, so make sure you are signed in to the same one. If it still does not unlock, email us with the date of purchase.

I paid on the website

After paying you are taken to the unlock page. Open it on the iPhone that has DriveDrill and tap Open DriveDrill to unlock. Paid on your own phone? Send that page to your teen and they tap the button on theirs.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions, then tap the DriveDrill subscription (it may be listed as Permit Practice Test: DMV 2026 or DMV Permit Test) and tap Cancel. You can also open Settings › Manage Subscription inside the app: it opens a screen where you can cancel or ask Apple for a refund (Apple decides refunds). Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or it renews. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

I cannot find DriveDrill on my Home Screen

Since version 1.8.2 the name under the app's icon is DMV Permit Test (Examen de Manejo on an iPhone set to Spanish), and the icon is new: a yellow DMV and a white 2026 over a road, on a dark tile. It is the same app. Updating does not change your progress or your purchases.

Pass Guarantee claim

Did not pass your knowledge test? Email support@drivedrill.app with these three things:

• a photo of the failed result (the DMV's notice or score sheet);
• a screenshot of your mock exam history in DriveDrill (version 1.8 or later: Settings › Mock exam history; in CDL and Motorcycle it is Practice exam history);
• your Apple receipt email for each charge you claim.

Can I buy once instead of subscribing?

Yes. Full Access is $17.99, paid once, with no subscription. It never renews, and it unlocks every state in the app, not just the one you are studying. CDL Full Access ($35.99) and Motorcycle Full Access ($17.99) do the same for their own sections.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every question for every state is built into the app. Practice and mock exams work with no signal. Only the purchase screen needs a connection, because prices come from the App Store.

I think a question is wrong

Please tell us — email support@drivedrill.app with the state and the question text. Traffic law changes every legislative session, and we would rather fix it than have you study something stale. We keep a record of the source behind every state-specific fact in the app, so a correction is quick.

Is this the real test?

No. These are original questions written in the style of public state driver handbooks. Where your state publishes its test format, the mock exam follows it — its question count, its pass score, and any separately scored sections; where it does not, the app says so. The questions themselves are ours. Your state's current official handbook is always the authoritative source.

Which states are included?

All 50 states and the District of Columbia, each with its own question bank.
