What DriveDrill is

DriveDrill is an independent study aid for state driver knowledge tests. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state motor vehicle agency. Practice questions are written by us in the style of public state driver handbooks. They are not official test questions, and no question in this app will necessarily appear on your test.

No warranty

Using DriveDrill does not guarantee you will pass any test. The Pass Guarantee promises your money back if you do not pass and you meet its conditions. Traffic law changes; the current official driver handbook for your state is always the authoritative source, and you should study it alongside this app. We make no warranty that the content is complete, current or error-free for your situation.

Not legal or driving advice

Nothing in the app is legal advice or driving instruction. Always follow posted signs, signals, an officer's directions, and the law in the jurisdiction you are driving in.

Subscriptions and purchases

• Car permit and Motorcycle Weekly plans are $7.99 per week after a free trial, and CDL Weekly is $9.99 per week after a free trial. Weekly plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. A free trial becomes a paid subscription unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Full Access ($17.99) is paid once. It is not a subscription and does not renew, and it unlocks every state in the app, not just the one you are studying. The CDL Full Access ($35.99) and Motorcycle Full Access ($17.99) are one-time purchases for their own sections. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions bought earlier (car Weekly, CDL Weekly, Motorcycle Weekly, their special offers and other plans some earlier subscribers have) stay auto-renewing subscriptions until they are cancelled, at the price the subscriber last agreed to.
• A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Earlier subscribers who started a free trial: the trial converted to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ended. From app version 1.8.4 the trial included the first 3 lessons of the lesson list, and "Unlock everything now" started the weekly plan that day.
• Purchases made in the app are handled by Apple and are subject to the App Store terms of sale. Refunds for them are handled by Apple, not by us, except that under the Pass Guarantee we pay you back directly if Apple declines.
• Paying online (parent link): in the US, a learner under 18 can send a parent a link from the app. The link opens a checkout page run by RevenueCat, where the parent pays by card (payments processed by Stripe) at the same prices, without the free trial: car Weekly $7.99 per week or Full Access $17.99 once, CDL Weekly $9.99 per week or CDL Full Access $35.99 once, or Motorcycle Full Access $17.99 once. The purchase unlocks the learner's copy of the app. A weekly plan bought online renews each week until it is cancelled; cancel it from the customer portal linked in the emails about the subscription, or email support@drivedrill.app and we will cancel it. Refunds for online payments are made by us to the card that paid. The Pass Guarantee covers online payments too: send the payment email in place of the Apple receipt.

Pass Guarantee

Pass your knowledge test or get your money back. The Pass Guarantee covers any paid DriveDrill purchase made on or after 4 October 2026, for everyone: any subscription charge, whatever the plan, or a one-time purchase (Full Access, Motorcycle Full Access or CDL Full Access); the free trial is free, so there is nothing to refund for it. We refund the DriveDrill charges from the 45 days before your test: for a subscription, every charge made in those 45 days; for a one-time purchase, that purchase. All three conditions must be met: you passed at least 5 full mock exams in DriveDrill (reached the exam's pass score; for a purchase made before 14 October 2026, at least 3 full mock exams taken), the last one within 30 days before your knowledge test (for a car or motorcycle test, for your state and type of test; for a CDL test, in the CDL section, for the CDL test you took; in CDL and Motorcycle the app calls them practice exams); you took your state's knowledge test within 45 days after each purchase or renewal charge you claim; and you claim within 30 days of the failed result. To claim, email support@drivedrill.app with a photo of the failed result (the DMV's notice or score sheet; you may cover your licence number, date of birth and address on it), a screenshot of your mock exam history in DriveDrill (version 1.8 or later: Settings › Mock exam history; in CDL and Motorcycle it is Practice exam history) and the receipt email for each charge you claim (from Apple, or the payment email for an online purchase). One claim per person, not transferable; we answer within 5 business days. App Store purchases are refunded by Apple: when a claim meets the conditions we confirm it and ask you to request the refund at reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple usually answers within 48 hours), and when Apple asks us about it we tell Apple the claim qualifies under this guarantee; Apple makes the final decision on App Store refunds. Online purchases (paid by the parent link) are refunded by us to the card that paid; if a parent paid, either of you can claim. Not covered: road (driving) tests, tests outside the United States, purchases made anywhere other than the App Store or DriveDrill's own online payment link, and charges already refunded. Acceptable use

Do not copy, redistribute, resell or republish the questions or explanations in this app. The content is original work and is protected by copyright.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and apart from the refund the Pass Guarantee promises, DriveDrill is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including a failed test, a missed appointment or any traffic penalty.
